CARE AND CLEANING. HOW TO KEEP YOUR UPHOLSTERY LOOKING FRESH.

BAVARIA has looked closely to ensure the new upholstery features extraordinary quality and superior materials. Whilst on the water, it is unavoidable to keep your upholstery clean and new.

Therefore, we have put together some easy steps to keep your upholstery looking like on the first day:

Jam, Dirt, Egg, Blood

Use cold, distilled water, optionally aftertreat with natural soap and distilled water.

Shoe Creme, Perfum, Butter, Ketchup, Chocolate, Coloured Crayons, Oil and Grease, Crème, Milk, Mustard

Clean with standard stain remover.

Beer, Coffe, Red Wine, Coca Cola, Juice, Fruit

Do not let it dry in – dab immediately. Aftertreat with lukewarm natural soap and distilled water.

Candle Wax

Do not treat with an iron! Carefully crumble and lift it. Treat with standard stain remover.

Chewing Gum

Use standard icing sprays – wait, until stain has dried and brush off.

Please find below further tips and tricks to help your upholstery look fresh and clean:

• Remove the stain as quickly as possible to avoid the danger of any permanent impurity. Therefore we advise never to let the stain dry, but cure it immediately with one of the options listed above.
• Never treat only the stain but work on the area around it. Do not use too much water. Dab with a dry cloth. If necessary, repeat the treatment again. Afterwards, remove the soap arrears with clear, distilled
• water. Let dry at normal room temperature. Do not use hair dryer and/or iron.
• Regularly use a hoover to clean the upholstery off dust, ash etc. and treat with a soft brush.
• Any stains from fruits and juices dab immediately with a warm cloth using distilled water and natural soap.
• Mustard, Ketchup, Butter or the likes – dap immediately with a warm cloth using distilled water and natural soap, optionally you can use standard stain removers.
• Chocolate is to be treated with standard stain remover.
• Please note, we do not underwrite liability for any resulting changes of our products following treatments with chemicals, cleaning products and impregnation material.

Beflügelt durch „Yacht of the Year”- Nominierung gewinnt BAVARIA CRUISER 45 „Ronde om Noord Holland“…

Bei der am 18. und 19. Juni 2010 stattgefundenen bekannten, Niederländischen Regatta „Ronde om Noord Holland“ hat die neue BAVARIA CRUISER 45 ihren ersten Triumph eingefahren.

Unter den 250 Teilnehmern erzielte die mit einem High-Tech Rollgroßsegel ausgestattete CRUISER 45 nicht nur den Sieg in ihrer Klasse, sondern auch den Gesamtsieg über alles nach korrigierter Zeit. Die Segelyacht hatte im Zieleinlauf einen Vorsprung von über 23 Minuten vor ihrer Verfolgerin – ein wahrhaft phänomenaler Sieg des neuen BAVARIA Seglers. Dieser Sieg unterzeichnete wiederum die Ankündigung der Nominierung zur „Yacht of the Year“. Während des erfolgreichen Wochenendes wurde bekannt, daß die BAVARIA CRUISER 45 unter den Finalisten der „Yacht of the Year“ in der Klasse „Family Cruiser“ ist. Die angesehene Auszeichnung wird im Januar 2011 zum achten Mal auf der „boot“ in Düsseldorf verliehen. Mit dem eingefahrenen Sieg bei der „Ronde om Noord Holland“ ging auch der 1. Preis des größten holländischen Segelmagazins „Zeilen“ an die Crew der „Progress“. Die Regatta lief bei kräftigem Wind und hoher Welle über beinahe 120 Meilen und führte über das Ijsselmeer, die Waddensee und die Nordsee. Die Crew, bestehend aus Hessel Douma (Eigner), Rienk Alberda (Skipper), Tom und Marja Pak, sowie Hella Knegtel, hatten keine Gelegenheit zu trainieren, da die „Progress“ erst am Tag zuvor geriggt und durch den BAVARIA Händler Holland Sailing ausgeliefert worden war.

„Alles hat trotz der kurzfristigen Planung fantastisch funktioniert“, sagte Rienk Alberda. „Wir hatten trotz des rauen Wetters keinerlei Probleme und die BAVARIA CRUISER 45 lief wirklich wie auf Schienen. BAVARIA hat mit der 45er einen richtigen Volltreffer erzielt.“  Die „Ronde om Noord Holland“ war die erste Regatte, in der eine BAVARIA CRUISER 45 mit am Start war. Der dominierende Sieg zeigt deutlich die ausschlaggebenden Punkte der erfolgreichen Zusammenarbeit von BAVARIA mit dem führenden Konstruktionsbüro in Sachen Regattasegler, Farr Yacht Design.
